Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of characters living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
